Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 21, 2015,Retail Opportunity Investments Corp. (“ROIC”), acting through a subsidiary held through Retail Opportunity Investments Partnership, LP, (the “Operating Partnership”), ROIC’s operating partnership,acquired the property known as Four Corner Square (“Four Corner Square”) located in Maple Valley, Washington, from an unaffiliated third party, for a purchase price of approximately $41.8 million. Four Corner Square is approximately 120,000 square feet and is anchored by Grocery Outlet Supermarket, a west coast based grocer, and Walgreens. The Company funded the acquisition of Four Corner Square using borrowings under its credit facility.Set forth in Item 9.01 is the financial statement prepared pursuant to Rule 3-14 of Regulation S-X relating to the acquisition of Four Corner Square, which individually is not considered significant within the meaning of Rule 3-14.
