Item 8.01. Other Events.
Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Approval of Settlement Agreement in Pennsylvania-American Water Company General Rate Case
On February 25, 2021, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (the “PaPUC”) issued an order unanimously approving a settlement agreement with respect to a general rate case filed on April 29, 2020 by Pennsylvania-American Water Company (“PAWC”), a subsidiary of American Water Works Company, Inc. Under the PaPUC's order, PAWC will be authorized additional annualized water and wastewater revenues of $70.5 million over a two-year period. The PaPUC order authorizes implementation of the new water and wastewater rates effective January 28, 2021.
