Explanation of Responses:

1. This Form 3 is being filed on behalf of Bicknell Family Holding Company, LLC ("BFHC"), a Delaware limited liability company, and Martin C. Bicknell. Mr. Bicknell is the Elected Manager of BFHC, and thus, a controlling person of BFHC. Each of BFHC and Mr. Bicknell are beneficial owners of more than 10% of Common Stock of the Tortoise Tax-Advantaged Social Infrastructure Fund Inc. (the "Issuer").

2. Common stock held directly by BFHC. Mr. Bicknell disclaims beneficial ownership of the securities held directly by BFHC except to the extent of his pecuniary interest therein, and the inclusion of these securities in this report shall not be deemed an admission of beneficial ownershop of all these securities by Mr. Bicknell for purposes of Section 16.
