Item 8.01 Other Events.
On September 12, 2023, Vistagen Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release to announce that PH80, one of the Company’s five investigational neuroactive pherine nasal sprays, demonstrated statistically significant improvement versus placebo in a previously unreported, exploratory Phase 2A study for acute management of the symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder, including negative mood and physical and behavioral symptoms. The study was sponsored by Pherin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Pherin”), now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, and conducted in Mexico prior to the Company’s acquisition of Pherin in February 2023.
