Explanation of Responses:

1. Coastal Financial Corporation ("Coastal") previously eliminated the unitized stock fund related to shares of Coastal common stock as an investment alternative available under Coastal's 401(k) plan. Effective August 3, 2022, the 3,647 shares of Coastal common stock the reporting person previously reported as beneficially owned under the plan were liquidated.

2. Includes 8,200 time-based restricted stock units (RSUs) pursuant to the Coastal Financial Corporation 2018 Omnibus Incentive Plan. 2,776 RSUs vest in eight approximately equal remaining installments; 3,247 RSUs vest in four approximately equal remaining installments; and 2,177 RSUs vest in four approximately equal installments. Each restricted stock unit represents the right to receive one share of common stock upon vesting.
