Item 8.01: Other Events.
Mead Johnson Nutrition Company (the “Company”) was informed on July 28, 2015 by the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) that the DOJ has closed its inquiry into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by the Company.
The DOJ’s notification follows the Company’s July 28, 2015 announcement that it had entered into a settlement agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) fully resolving the SEC’s investigation of certain of the Company’s promotional practices in China during the period 2008-2013.
