Distribution to Shareholders
On January 25, 2017, the Board of Directors of Telesat Canada declared a special cash distribution to its shareholders, in the form of a reduction in the stated capital of Telesat Canada, in the amount of approximately US$400 million, which amount was paid on January 27, 2017. The Company funded the shareholder distribution with cash on hand.
