Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 19, 2016, Nova Lifestyle, Inc. (the "Company") received a written notification from the NASDAQ Stock Market Listing Qualifications Staff indicating that the Company has regained compliance with the $1.00 minimum closing bid price requirement for continued listing on the NASDAQ Global Market pursuant to NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(a)(1) (the “Minimum Bid Price Requirement”) and that the matter is now closed.
The closing bid price of the Company’s common stock has been at $1.00 per share or greater for at least 10 consecutive business days. Accordingly, the Company has regained compliance with the Minimum Bid Price Requirement.
On September 22, 2016, the Company issued a press release announcing that the Company has regained compliance with Minimum Bid Price Requirement, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
