On May 10, 2023 CQENS Technologies Inc. (the “Company”) was informed by its Intellectual Property counsel that the Chinese Patent Office has issued a Decision to Grant the Company a patent pursuant to the PCT National Phase Application for its Heat Not Burn (HnB®) technology.
The patent is expected to issue early this Summer and will be the Company’s fifth international HnB patent, including those in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Mexico. After the Chinese patent issues, the Company will have a total of nine HnB patents, including four US patents, and 26 pending patents for this high temperature vaporizing technology. Among the commercial opportunities for this patented and patent-pending technology are those for modified risk tobacco products.
