Item 8.01. Other Events.
On July 15, 2014, the Board of Directors of Peoples Federal Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) declared a cash dividend on the Company’s common stock of $0.05 per share for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. The dividend will be payable to stockholders of record as of August 4, 2014 and is expected to be paid on August 15, 2014.
A copy of the press release dated July 16, 2014 giving details associated with the dividend is attached as Exhibit 99 to this report.
