Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.
On September 13, 2013, Air Lease Corporation (the “Company”) entered into a definitive purchase agreement and related letter agreements (collectively, the “Purchase Agreement”) with The Boeing Company (“Boeing”). The Company agreed to purchase 33 aircraft from Boeing comprised of three 787-9 and 30 787-10 Dreamliners. Deliveries of these aircraft are scheduled to commence in 2019 and to continue through 2023.
The Company and Boeing issued a joint press release on September 18, 2013 announcing the order. A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
