Explanation of Responses:

1. Pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated December 11, 2018 (the "Agreement"), by and between SI Financial Group, Inc. and Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc., at the Effective Time of the Merger each share of SI Financial Group, Inc. common stock was converted into and became exchangeable for the right to receive 0.48 shares of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. common stock, with cash in lieu of fractional shares.

2. Each option was converted into an option to purchase a number of shares of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. common stock determined by multiplying the number of shares of SI Financial Group, Inc. common stock subject to such stock option by 0.48, at a per share exercise price equal to the quotient obtained by dividing the per share exercise price for each share of SI Financial Group, Inc. common stock subject to such option by 0.48.
