Explanation of Responses:

1. Pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated December 11, 2018 (the "Agreement"), by and between SI Financial Group, Inc. and Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc., at the Effective Time of the Merger each share of SI Financial Group, Inc. common stock was converted into and became exchangeable for the right to receive 0.48 shares of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. common stock, with cash in lieu of fractional shares.

2. Reflects transactions not required to be reported pursuant to Section 16 of the Securities Act of 1934, as amended.
