Item 8.01 – Other Events.
On February 6, 2020, Adial Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release that it has commenced a Phase 3 pivotal clinical trial to investigate AD04, the Company's lead investigational new drug product, as a genetically targeted therapeutic agent for the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder. The trial has initially started in Finland, where the Company previously announced it had received approval to commence the trial. The trial is also expected to be conducted in Sweden, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, and Bulgaria.
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Report on Form 8-K.
