Volaris Reports June 2019 Traffic Results: High Load Factors,
Domestic 91.3% and International 85.1%
Mexico City, Mexico. July 3, 2019 – Volaris* (NYSE:VLRS and BMV:VOLAR), theultra-low-cost airline serving Mexico, the United States and Central America, reportedJune 2019 and preliminaryyear to date traffic results.
In June 2019,capacity measured by ASMs (Available Seat Miles) increased by 18.9% vs last year, withdemand measured by RPMs (Revenue Passenger Miles) showing a significant increase of 22.2%. Volaris carried almost 1.9 Mpassengers in total (24.5% increase vs last year), with load factor increasing 2.3 pp to 89.3%.
During June 2019, Volaris started to operate five domestic routes, fromChihuahua, Durango and Queretaro; and four international routes, from Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix.
Volaris’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Enrique Beltranena, commenting on the traffic results for June: “The significanthealthy capacity growthduring the month is a result of a solid passenger demand in domestic and international markets”.
