Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 8, 2014, Superior Silica Sands LLC (“SSS”), a subsidiary of Emerge Energy Services LP (the “Partnership”) issued a press release announcing that a citation of its Independence frac sand mining facility by Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, which was reported by various news publications, was made by the county in error. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
