Item 8.01 Other Events
On November 25, 2014, Silver Bay Realty Trust Corp. issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors authorized the company to increase the size of its previously authorized share repurchase program by an additional 2,500,000 shares. The authorization is in addition to the 850,057 shares that remained available for repurchase as of September 30, 2014. A copy of the press release announcing approval of the increase in the share repurchase program is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
