Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 19, 2018, Waterstone Mortgage Corporation, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of WaterStone Bank SSB, announced the hiring of A.W. Pickel III as President. Eric Egenhoefer, former Waterstone Mortgage President and CEO, will continue to serve as CEO. A copy of the press release is being furnished to the Securities and Exchange Commission as Exhibit 99.1 attached to this report and incorporated by reference.
