Organization, Consolidation, Basis of Presentation, Business Description and Accounting Policies [Text Block] | 1. Organization The New Home Company Inc. (the "Company"), a Delaware corporation, and its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in all aspects of residential real estate development, including acquiring land and designing, constructing and selling homes in California and Arizona. Based on our public float of $58.9 million at June 28, 2019, Basis of Presentation The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the Company and its wholly owned subsidiaries. All significant intercompany accounts have been eliminated upon consolidation.
