1. The ordinary shares whose purchase is reported on this line are represented by American Depositary Shares ("ADS") and are held in the form of ADSs by Gavin Wood. Each ADS represents six ordinary shares of Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc.

2. The 39,000 ordinary shares reported in Column 4 are represented by 6,500 ADSs.

3. The price reported in Column 4 of $0.2904 per ordinary share is derived from the purchase price paid on May 20, 2022 of $1.7423 per ADS divided by six.

4. The 96,000 ordinary shares reported in Column 5 include 57,000 ordinary shares represented by 9,500 ADSs owned by Mr. Wood prior to the purchase reported in Column 4. These shares are held in the form of ADSs by Mr. Wood.
