Explanatory Note
This Form 8-K/A is being filed as an amendment to the Form 8-K/A of Colony Starwood Homes filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on March 25, 2016 (the “Amended Form 8-K/A”) for the purpose of amending the Consolidated Financial Statements as of December 31, 2015 and 2014 and for each of the years ended December 31, 2015, 2014 and 2013, included in Exhibit 99.1, to reflect Colony American Finance, LLC as a discontinued operation.
