Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 29, 2021, the transfer agent for Village Farms International, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the Company has fixed April 23, 2021 as the record date for the purpose of determining holders of the common shares of the Company entitled to receive notice of and to vote at an annual and special meeting of the Company’s shareholders, to be held virtually on June 10, 2021. The Notice of Meeting and Record Date is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
