On June 18, 2019, Summit Therapeutics plc (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the Company’s award of the second of three potential option work segments under its contract with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, and BARDA’s increase of the value of its award for the clinical and regulatory development of ridinilazole, the Company’s product candidate for the treatment ofC. difficile infection.
