Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 5, 2019, BeiGene, Ltd. issued a joint press release with Seattle Genetics, Inc. announcing that the two companies have entered into a license agreement for an advanced preclinical product candidate for treating cancer. The agent utilizes a proprietary Seattle Genetics antibody-based technology and is expected to advance into clinical trials in the first half of 2020. The full text of this press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
