Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Effective as of February 12, 2018, James S. Athanasoulas resigned from his position as Vice President and Treasurer of Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc. (the “Company”). Mr. Athanasoulas’ resignation from his position as Vice President and Treasurer was not due to any dispute or disagreement with the Company or its Board of Directors (“Board”) or management.
Effective as of February 12, 2018, the Board of the Company elected Michael J. Boyle to the position of Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Boyle joined Bain Capital Credit in 2007. He is a Director and Portfolio Manager in the Private Credit Group. As a Portfolio Manager, he is responsible for Bain Capital Credit’s Senior Direct Lending strategy and Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc. Mr. Boyle started his career at Bain Capital Credit, over which time he has been a member of the portfolio analytics team, the Industry Research team, and the Liquid Credit portfolio management team. Mr. Boyle, age 33, holds a B.S. from Boston College.
