MOTIF BIO CONFIRMS RECEIPT OF DEFICIENCY NOTICE FROM NASDAQ
On July 26, 2019, Motif Bio plc (the “Company”) issued a press release to announce that it has received a deficiency notice from Nasdaq indicating that the Company is currently not in compliance with the minimum bid price rule for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market as set forth in Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 5550(a)(2), which requires Nasdaq-traded American Depositary Shares (ADSs) to have a minimum bid price of $1.00. Per Nasdaq’s regulations, Motif Bio will have until January 21, 2020, or 180 calendar days from the date of the notice, to regain compliance with the exchange's continued listing requirements regarding the minimum closing bid price rule. The Nasdaq notification letter has no immediate effect on the listing or trading of the Company’s ADSs on the Nasdaq Capital Market. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
