Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 1, 2016, International Seaways, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the completion of the previously announced spin-off of the Company by its former parent company, Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc., and the start of the Company’s operations as an independent, publicly traded company. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
