ITEM 8.01. Other Events.
On December 17, 2019, Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") has accepted the Company’s notice to implement a normal course issuer bid ("NCIB") to purchase, for cancellation, up to 4,800,862 of the Company’s common shares (the “Common Shares”) or approximately 3.5 percent of the Common Shares issued and outstanding as at December 9, 2019. The NCIB is scheduled to commence on December 20, 2019 and is due to terminate on December 19, 2020.
