On August 20, 2019, NuCana plc (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting that it has been informed by the sponsor of the independent investigator-sponsored Phase III metastatic pancreatic study ACELARATE that the enrollment of new patients has been suspended on the advice of the Independent Safety and Data Monitoring Committee following completion of a prespecified futility analysis. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated by reference herein.
