Mr. Thompson is a member of CJA Private Equity Financial Restructuring GP I Ltd., the sole general partner of CJA Private Equity Financial Restructuring Master Fund I LP, which entity owns 1,403,511 shares of Coastal Financial Corporation's common stock and 261,444 shares of Coastal Financial Corporation's Class C Nonvoting Common Stock. Mr. Thompson disclaims beneficial ownership of such shares held by CJA Private Equity Financial Restructuring Master Fund I LP, except to the extent of his pecuniary interest therein.
