Explanation of Responses:

1. On March 12, 2019, Green Brick Partners, Inc. (the "Issuer") granted a stock bonus award of 6,521 shares of common stock to Summer Loveland, the Issuer's Chief Accounting Officer, pursuant to Ms. Loveland's employment agreement. The shares of common stock granted were fully vested upon issuance and the Issuer withheld 2,412 of the shares of common stock granted to satisfy required tax withholding in respect of the stock bonus award as was approved by the Compensation Committee of the Issuer's Board of Directors. The shares of common stock granted to Ms. Loveland were valued at $9.20 per share, the closing price per share of the Issuer's common stock on March 11, 2019.
