Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 28, 2017, the Capital Southwest Corporation Board of Directors declared a special cash dividend of $0.26 per share, generated from the Company’s significant amount of realized gains over the prior 12 months. In addition, the Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.19 per share for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. Both dividends are payable on April 3, 2017 to shareholders of record on March 15, 2017. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
