Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Departure of Wei Li Leong as Chief Financial Officer.
On October 30, 2023, Ms. Wei Li Leong, the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), tendered her resignation letter to BioNexus Gene Lab Corp. (the “Company”) from her position at the Company. The Company and Ms. Leong agreed that the resignation would be effective October 30, 2023 (“Resignation Date”), and Ms. Leong agreed to continue serving for one additional month from the Resignation Date. Ms. Leong’s resignation is not due to any disagreement with the Company, the Company’s management, or the Board on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices (financial or otherwise).
The Company will actively identify a replacement personnel. The Company believes that it will be able to appoint a new CFO in the near future.
