1. Represents restricted stock units ("RSUs") that vest on December 31, 2021, subject to the Reporting Person's continuous service through such vesting date. Each RSU represents a contingent right to receive one share of Common Stock.

2. This amount includes 382 shares acquired on June 30, 2020 under the Tricida, Inc. 2018 Employee Stock Purchase Plan. This acquisition is exempt from Section 16(b) pursuant to Rule 16b-3(c) and exempt from Section 16(a) pursuant to Rule 16a-3(f)(1)(i)(B).
