Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On February 6, 2023, the board of directors (the “Board”) of loanDepot, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), and Anthony Hsieh mutually agreed that Mr. Hsieh would step down as Executive Chairman of the Company, effective immediately, in light of Mr. Hsieh’s decision to nominate a director candidate outside of the governance process overseen by the Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Hsieh will remain Chairman of the Board.
