Item 8.01 Other Events.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (the “Firm”) previously reported that it was in advanced discussions with the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System regarding resolution of their respective investigations of the Firm’s foreign exchange sales and trading activities and controls related to those activities. Those discussions, while not completed, are nearing conclusion, and the Firm understands that any resolution acceptable to DOJ would require that the Firm plead guilty to an antitrust charge.
