1. Represents performance-adjusted restricted stock units ("RSUs"), each of which represents a contingent right to receive an award payable in FirstEnergy Corp.'s (the "Company") common stock following the vesting date. This Form 4 is being filed to report the satisfaction of the performance goals for the RSUs, as certified by the Company's Board of Directors on February 7, 2024. As a result, these RSUs will vest on March 1, 2024, generally subject to the reporting person's continued service.
