Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 21, 2006, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania entered an Order denying confirmation of the Second Amended Plan of Reorganization for Pittsburgh Corning Corporation and ordering a status conference on January 17, 2007. In re Pittsburgh Corning Corporation, Debtor, 00-22876 (JKF). Corning Incorporated, a 50% owner of Pittsburgh Corning Corporation and a proponent of the Plan of Reorganization, is studying the memorandum opinion to determine its next steps, which could include reconsideration by the Bankruptcy Court, appeals, or plan modification.
