SEMCO ENERGY, INC. ANNOUNCES PRICING OF OFFERING OF 4,300,000 SHARES OF COMMON STOCK
PORT HURON, MI, AUGUST 9, 2005 -- SEMCO ENERGY, Inc. (NYSE:SEN) today announced the pricing of its public offering of 4,300,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $6.32 per share. The gross proceeds, before commissions and expenses, of the public offering will be approximately $27.2 million. The Company has also granted the underwriters of the offering an over-allotment option to purchase an additional 645,000 shares of common stock. All of the shares are being sold by the Company. The offering is expected to close on August 15, 2005.
Credit Suisse First Boston LLC is acting as lead manager for the offering. Natexis Bleichroeder Inc. and A.G. Edwards are acting as co-managers.
