On October 25, 2007, Energen Corporation announced the election of Kenneth W. Dewey as a Director of Energen Corporation and Alabama Gas Corporation effective November 1, 2007. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. Committee assignments for Mr. Dewey have not yet been determined.
On October 25, 2007, Energen Corporation announced the election of James T. McManus, II to succeed William Michael Warren, Jr. as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Energen Corporation and Alabama Gas Corporation effective January 1, 2008. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2
