Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On March 7, 2016, Pier 1 Imports, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release providing preliminary information regarding the Company’s fourth quarter and fiscal year ended February 27, 2016. A copy of this press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is being furnished, not filed, under item 2.02 of this Report on Form 8-K.

On March 7, 2016, the Company issued a press release announcing the Company’s presentation on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Raymond James 37th Annual Institutional Investors Conference being held March 6-9, 2016 at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Hotel in Orlando, Florida. A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
