On September 25, 2008, Mr. Robert J. Buckler formally announced his intention to step down as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Detroit Edison Company (“Detroit Edison”) effective on December 8, 2008. Mr. Buckler will continue as Group President of DTE Energy Company (“DTE Energy”) until his retirement on May 19, 2009.
