On August 22, 2007, the Board of Directors of Dow Jones & Company, Inc. (the “Company”) elected Joseph A. Stern, currently Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Company, to the Company’s Board of Directors effective immediately to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Dieter von Holtzbrinck. Mr. Stern has not been appointed to any Board committees.
