On October 13, 2011, Microsemi Corporation (“Microsemi”) issued a press release announcing the acquisition of securities tendered to, and the extension of, its previously announced offers for all of the issued and outstanding common shares and 6% unsecured, subordinated convertible debentures maturing September 30, 2012 of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
