(the “Company”) issued the press release, which is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and that is incorporated by reference into this Item, announcing that the Company received a new patent protecting PV-10, the Company’s lead oncology drug candidate. The patent issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office is U.S. Patent No. 8,557,298 and is entitled “Medicaments for Chemotherapeutic Treatment of Disease.”
