EXCO RESOURCES, INC. ANNOUNCES MILLER GROUP
ARRANGES EXTENSION OF ACQUISITION FINANCING COMMITMENT
Dallas, Texas, January 28, 2003—EXCO Resources, Inc. ("EXCO") announced today that its chairman, Douglas H. Miller, has advised EXCO that his group has arranged an extension of the commitment it had previously received for financing to fund the group's proposed acquisition of EXCO. The commitment now expires February 28, 2003. This extension will allow the orderly completion of due diligence on behalf of third parties without concern for the January 31, 2003 deadline in the original financing commitment letter. As previously disclosed, the execution of a definitive agreement would be subject to, among other things, completion of due diligence by the parties providing financing for the acquisition and the confirmation of the financing arrangements.
