On August 30, 2007, PPL Electric Utilities Corporation (“PPL Electric”) issued a press release announcing it had entered into a settlement agreement with the parties to its March 2007 request to increase its distribution rates by $84 million (subsequently amended to $77 million). The settlement agreement, which must be approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, would increase PPL Electric’s annual distribution revenues by $55 million, effective January 1, 2008. A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
