Item 8.01. Other Events.
On January 17, 2017, Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced the date of its 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders as May 10, 2017. Pursuant to the Company's Bylaws, the deadline for properly presented stockholder proposals, including director nominations, is March 11, 2017.
The Company issued a press release announcing the foregoing, a copy of which is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1.
