Item 8.01 Other Events.
As previously reported, Emulex Corporation (the “Company”) was a defendant in a consolidated patent infringement suit brought by Broadcom Corporation in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. On March 19, 2012, the Company issued a press release regarding recent developments in such case. A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
