Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 18, 2009, the Board of Director’s of Citizens Republic Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Martin E. Grunst, age 42, as Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Grunst joined the Company in 2003 as Senior Vice President and Treasurer and continues in that role in addition to his new appointment. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Grunst worked at Bank One Corporation from 1992 to 2003 in various finance and treasury related roles.
Stephen Figliuolo was previously appointed the Interim Principal Accounting Officer and served in that role in addition to his previous role as the Company’s corporate risk officer. Mr. Figliuolo will continue to serve as the Company’s corporate risk officer.
